THIS IS TRULY AMERICA'S FINEST CITY! As soon as you walk through the front door you will be swept away by the beautiful views that this property has to offer. This home that I share is a 1 bedroom/1 bath on a 1 acre beautiful property. It is in the fabulous rural hills of Mt. Helix. If you are a bird watcher or enjoy nature like I do then you will love it here. Walk out each morning onto the wrap around deck that overlooks the entire property; the pool, the pond and all of its AMAZING VIEWS! You will love hanging out by the poolside or swimming in this beautiful 40 foot blue lap pool. Pull up a seat by the pond, relax, read a book or just take in all of the nature around you. Oh, did I say "the sunrise's here are worth getting up for!" I have a hawk, or I call him/her "my hawk" because the first day that he/she flew out of the nest he/she landed right onto my deck. We spent over an hour bonding as I took over 100 pictures of this beauty and that was 9 years ago. Mt. Helix is centrally located 15 miles east of downtown San Diego within a few blocks from two major freeways and 13 minutes from the airport. All of San Diego’s main attractions are nearby, the airport, beaches, Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, Coronado Island , Gaslamp Quarter, Seaport Village, Point Loma, La Jolla are all within a 20 minute drive. This HOUSE is my private home and not a full time rental. It is only rented a few times a year. Be sure to check with me on availability before booking. The garage is not part of this rental, however the washer/dryer in the garage is yours to use. This 1 acre property is split into 3 private levels. Each area has its own private retreat. 1st level - Is this private house. It sits at the highest level with your private wrap around deck. 2nd level - Is a full time apartment rental. 3rd level - Is my (owner) private cottage area, and is kept private at all times. All common areas, like the pool and pond are shared. Should you need anything you might just find me staying on the property during your visit. I’d love to help you out if I can please send me a text or if you see me on the property give me a shout out! I am very flexible with whatever level of interaction you prefer. I respect your privacy, so if you'd like no interaction that is no problem too. Mt. Helix is known for it's hiking. There are lots of trails in the area with spectacular views. Be sure to visit the amphitheater and park at the top of Mt. Helix for a 360 degree view of all of San Diego. It is only a 2 mile hike from my home and it's very much worth the fabulous views, especially at sunset. Enjoy our downtown La Mesa which is known as the 'Jewel of the Hills. Lots of great restaurants with near perfect climate, a very quaint downtown village. I have an older cat on the property. She is loosing her hearing but still likes to roam the property during the daytime. You might see her lounging on the deck nearby the house as she only knows it to be her home. I do prefer guest who don’t mind cats. This is a no shoes home. The hardwood floors are original to this 1952 home so to help maintain the hardwood I ask that you take off your shoes each time you enter. House rules: NO PETS. Non smokers only! NO SMOKING anywhere on this 1 acre property. Check in is from 3pm - 9pm. $25 charge for check in after 9pm. NO CHECK IN'S AFTER MIDNIGHT. Check out is 10am. There is a quite time on this property from 9pm - 7am.
