About Carole's Cottage
Carole's Cottage is a beautiful vacation home situated in the heart of Sandbaai, just a 5km/3miles drive from the centre of Hermanus. The house is fully equipped making it feel like a home away from home. The spacious open planned living area, private garden, and flexible sleeping arrangements means it's suited for a family or a friends get away. Whether you looking for a sneaky weekend break or a longer holiday Carole's Cottage is for you.
SELF CATERING ACCOMMODATION
The cottage sleeps four adults comfortably. There are two bedrooms. The first bedroom sleeps two adults or children and has two single beds that can be combined to form a king size bed. The second bedroom has a queen size bed that sleeps two adults. Fresh towels, linen, duvets, blankets and a hair dryer are provided. There is a full family sized bathroom with bath and separate shower.
Kitchen amenities include a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, plenty of pots and pans, crockery, cutlery and glasses. A small supply of basic cleaning materials such as dish washing liquid, dishwasher tablets and bathroom cleaning supplies are provided. Other amenities include an automatic washing machine, iron and ironing board.
The living space has two comfortable leather couches to sit and chill or watch TV. There is a dining table that seats four. This can also double as a comfortable laptop workspace, if required.
The cottage includes full premium DSTV as well as WIFI at no extra cost.
OUTSIDE FACILITIES
There is a Weber braai and an outside entertainment area with an umbrella and garden furniture, where you can indulge in alfresco dining in a small, private fynbos garden. If you are a beach goer, beach towels can be provided, as well as a beach umbrella and some beach chairs that you are welcome to use.
There is a secure lock up garage for one vehicle and parking for one other. Heating is provided for the colder months or if it is a bit chilly.
What to do in Hermanus
- The Hemel & Aarde wine route is less than a 5min drive away, with beautify wineries such as Creation and Sumaridge it is well worth planning a day along this route.
- The newly built Whale Mall is within in walking distance and will cover all your shopping needs for your stay with us.
- The sea is only 800 meters away with the beautiful meandering paths which will take you from Sandbaai to Onrus beach well worth the walk, another favourite swimming beach is Grotto beach which is a drive across to the other side of Hermanus, but well worth the drive.
- Good restaurants are close by and you will spoilt for choice (Bientang's Cave, Dutchies, LB Seafood Bistro are our favourite)
- If you are the adventurous type, then mountain bike tracks, hiking trails, and sea kayaking are a few of the many outdoor activities you can do in Hermanus.
