Serene, tranquil and peaceful are the words which best describe SERENITY.. A quaint and charming one bedroom self-catering apartment situated in the heart of the coastal beach town, Melkbosstrand.
Situated 800m from the beach and near to popular kite and surf spots, this apartment is perfect for couples or a single person on holiday or corporates seeking accommodation in Cape Town.
SERENITY is a one bedroom self-catering apartment with a queen size bed, a bathroom with a large shower and a kitchen with a stove/oven, microwave, fridge and washing machine. All cutlery and crockery are supplied, as well as towels and linen but please bring your own beach towels. The lounge consists of a couch, Smart tv connected to wifi and cabinet with space to store essentials. Please take note we do link you to our netflix acount for you guys to use during your stay.
The garden consists of artificial lawn, a outdoor couch, outside shower and barbeque pit where you can enjoy a shower, beer and braai after a surf at one of the popular surf spots :) The whole apartment is available to you as well as an outside area with braai, outside shower and outdoor furniture.
Entry is through a side gate and parking is secure behind a gate with electric fencing.
A second apartment, ALOHA is available to rent on the same property as well with it's own unique features and themes. This is a 2-bedroom self-catering unit with pit braai, small balcony with views and kitchen.
The owners, which are myself and my husband, stay in the main house of the property so we are available to assist with any information you might need. We also rent our bicycles, surfboards and various other outdoor gear should you have the need for any of it.
My husband is an avid surfer and kite surfer so he'll be able to assist you with all the great surf spots.
SERENITY is situated within walking distance to the beach, stunning rock pools, restaurants along the buzzing beach strip and all village shops. Popular surf spots (tubewave and corner) , kite and windsurfing spots (Haakgat and Van Riebeeckstrand) are either within walking distance or a 5-10 minute drive.
Koeberg nature reserve was officially proclaimed a private nature reserve in 1991 and Eskom have built and now maintain a fantastic network of hiking and mountain bike trails on the land. As a mountain bike venue it is strictly a 'beginners and family affair', with trails that are wide and perfectly maintained gravel roads. There are 2 official trails: a 7km loop and a 21km route (plus a road down to the beach which adds 4km). You can cycle directly from SERENITY to Koeberg nature reserve.
The accommodation is also situated very close to bus routes, just walk through the servitude next to our house and hop on the MyCiTi bus which runs straight through to Bloubergstrand and Cape Town City Centre should you wish to go explore for the day :)
Melkbosstrand (Afrikaans for "Milkbush beach") is a coastal suburb and beach located on the South West Coast of South Africa, 35 km north of Cape Town. Named after the species of Euphorbiaceae bushes which grow on the dunes and give off a milky latex like substance, it is commonly referred to simply as Melkbos. The town and its 7km stretch of white sand beach is situated on the Atlantic coast with the Blouberg mountain, known as Table Mountain to the east. Melkbosstrand remains a pristine seaside resort. Melkbosstrand is 40km from Cape Town International Airport.
