This stylish place to stay on Bushwillow Nature Reserve is perfect for family or friends traveling together. Bushwillow Estate is a nature reserve on the banks of the Vaalkop Dam. According to a recent count done in December, there were 385 different birds recorded in the area. A bird lovers paradise!
The space
Fully furnished 3 bedroom home, with open plan living room/dining and kitchen area with large spaces and panoramic sliding doors. The master bedroom is in the main house, & the 2 guest rooms are in a separate building a few steps away from the main building.
Undercover parking
Not suitable for parties.
4km of National Parks Road before getting to the Bushwillow Gate. These roads are not maintained, so low suspension vehicles will need to be careful.
The swimming pool is not covered or fenced and does not have an alarm system, so it is not suitable for families with small children.
Guest access
Entire home.
Other things to note
This is definitely not a party venue. No stag or hen parties; no influencer parties and just generally no parties.
This is a non smoking home.
Noise travels in that environment, so it is essential to respect the neighbours and other residents and keep noise levels down, especially music.
Hot water is powered by solar energy.
Bushwillow Estate comprises of separate homes which are frequented by the owners occasionally. You may come across other guests/owners when walking or cycling around the property.
There is about 5km of dirt road before you get to the Bushwillow gate. Some areas are in bad condition and cars with a low suspension will need to go very carefully over some areas.
Please adhere to the book-in after 2 pm and check-out before 11am.
Collect and return the keys at the main gate.
There have been crocodile and hippo seen in the dam, but it’s impossible to ascertain where they are at any time, so please be vigilant when walking close to the dam edge.
