🌿 House Rules
We’re in a peaceful, nature-filled neighbourhood (Welcome Glen). Please respect our neighbours:
- Quiet after 11pm (weekends) / 9pm (weeknights).
- No parties.
✨ Whether you’re here to work remotely, explore Cape Town’s coastline, or simply unwind, The Boho Cave gives you the best of both worlds: a cozy home base with a touch of funky flair.
Guest Access:
You have the entire guest suite to yourself which includes a private entrance and a private deck/pool area. There is off-street parking for one vehicle.
The Neighborhood:
We have a very quiet, safe neighborhood with plenty of hills and nature. We do live up in the mountains so we do get baboons. Please keep all doors and windows closed and locked when you are not around and be on the look out when the dogs start barking excessively.
Getting Around:
Uber has changed in that it has become more difficult to get an Uber to our local store and back. It would remain advisable to have a hired vehicle if you are not local. Groceries can be delivered with ease and we have great local transport services should you choose NOT to hire a car. It is advised to plan and book these services in advance.

Winter monthly stays available (June–August). Please enquire for special long-stay rates.
Please remember we do live in a neighborhood: a stay at Welcome Glen Mountain Gem is a stay with the locals. We request that you please respect the quiet nature of the area: no loud music and shouting after 11pm on the weekends (Friday / Saturday) and after 9pm in the week (Sunday - Thursday). Your cooperation in the matter would be greatly appreciated. We also have another unit on the same level as your lounge area so please keep music and the TV to a respectable level.
Your rate includes the following:
- 1 bag of wood for the braai area or the fireplace
- a couple of firestarters
- a pack of blitz
- a small milk, tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper.
(Please note due to the self catering nature of this property, amenities will not be replenished during your stay. You are welcome to purchase should you run out.)
A few things worth knowing before you arrive at The Cave:
The roof is metal, which means it expands and contracts with temperature changes and can make soft ticking or creaking sounds. During heavy downpours it can get quite noisy, though light rain is rather charming. Earplugs are available if you'd like them.
There are water pipes near the staircase, so you may occasionally hear water moving through when other parts of the house are in use.
Due to the nature of the area (mountain), we do have baboons and other wild animals come down from time to time. This does set the neighbourhood dogs off but we do have a tight network in the community and we do communicate to owners if the dogs get out of hand.
Interaction with Guests:
We live on the property and are available at all times. We love to socialize if guests want to join us for a glass of wine but we do provide privacy for guests who would like to do their own thing.
