Positive: Dankbaar is a charming cottage part of the Die Kom estate. We spend our time sitting outside on the stoep with our morning coffee and afternoon sundowners. The cottage is beautifully decorated and offer facilities of a high standard. It is centrally located and easy to get to all the little shops and restaurants. The cottage is on the beach where the fishermen launch their boats, so we really experienced the charm of this working fishing village. We were ladies travelling on our own, we never felt unsafe. Cottage has security shutters, beams and alarm. Security guards were patrolling the estate. We were privileged to meet the owners of Dankbaar, what a lovely couple and their dog. Cant wait for our next visit, this time with the husbands.
Negative: NOTHING. The Fishermen activities at night, might be off putting for some, but we enjoyed watching them launch their boats and coming back in the dark.
Summary: We were so dankbaar to have found cottage DANKBAAR for our girls weekend away.
